Today's Coachella Playlist

In honor of Coachella, an event that seems about as painful as a root canal, I offer you today's playist:

Brutal Truth "Evolution Through Revolution"
The new record from Brutal Truth is their first in over ten years. 20 brilliant tracks of their brand of 'green' grind. You can stream it over here

Earth Crisis "To The Death"
Another new record from a band that hasn't released anything new in 8 years and arguably hasn't released anything good since 1995's "Destroy The Machines". "To The Death" gets back to what ExC is all about, waging a vegan 'firestorm'. This comes out May 5th on Century Media. Paul Romano did the cover art, it's ok, but I think this dude is a bit over rated.

Merauder "Master Killer"
This doesn't really need much an explanation. Merauder. NYHC. Life is Pain. Done.

Napalm Death "Time Waits For No Slave"
Since the release of 2000's "Enemy of the Music Business" Napalm Death has released three more studio albums and each one has outdone the previous. In 2006 ND dropped "Smear Campaign" on us and front to back it is a flawless album and was going to be tough to top, but with this new record they may have just done that. Unrelenting and punishing, "Time Waits..", is another great record from Napalm Death.

Bitter End "Climate of Fear"
'There's panic on the streets'... This record opens with a barrage of tv and radio news clips from 911, the Iraqi war amongst others and then kicks right into one of my favorite HC records in years. A great mix of Leeway/'Best Wishes' era Cro Mags. I love this band and record. And Daniel is one of the nicest dudes I know.

The Gaslight Anthem "The '59 Sound"
The only band I would want to see at Coachella, it's too bad that this is as close as they are playing to LA on this tour. This record is too damn catchy.
